Authentic Silk on Silk hand made Qum carpet.
Purchased Fifteen Years ago in Sharjah United Arab Emirates. It is a beautiful hand made, unique carpet. Due to the nature of silk, the carpet isnt only sensual to touch, the effect of the light beige, peach, aqua, greens, and the silken silver coloured thread change in tone and shade depending on the light and/or the angle you might be looking at it. The colours deepen or lighten always providing a subtle, unique picture for any wall, preferably. The images involved in the carpet are birds, deers, and flora of the area. The carpet is a managable size of 140cm x 87cm. There is between 600 and 700 knots per sqr inch, which is a sign of a good quality carpet. Unfortunately there is no rug valuer in Tasmania, I can only give what was verbally indicated as a value of the rug, which was upto $10,000, $12,000

*IMPORTANT*There is a reserve on this item. For some reason I am unable to do a reserve through my selling. But, I am placing a reserve due to the expense and value of this carpet.
